Brielle was a bright, beautiful, kind and spunky little girl who was diagnosed in February, 2013 with Anaplastic Astrocytoma. This is an aggressive form of pediatric cancer that was originally found in her spine.  From February 2013 until March 2014, Brielle underwent surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation to remove the tumor and destroy any remaining cancer cells.

Brielle was cancer free until August 2014, when the cancer returned. This time, it was in her brain.  Brielle immediately had surgery to release the pressure in her brain, along with radiation to attack the tumors and cancer cells.  She also had multiple chemotherapy treatments. Before each treatment, her mom, Kelly, would ask her, “Are you okay?” Brielle would always answer, “I’m okay if you’re okay.”

In May of 2016, it was necessary for Brielle to undergo brain surgery. Her heroic surgeon, Dr. Storm of CHOP, was able to remove the entire tumor from her brain. Unfortunately, it returned quickly and grew more rapidly than before.

Our precious Brielle lost her courageous battle with cancer on July 11, 2016. She is remembered for her loving heart and ability to make everyone feel special. We miss her every single day ... but we know she’s “okay.”
